The Big Blow (no, it's not a skin flick from the 60s), written
by Ellis Lucia, is a 1963 book about The 1962 Columbus
Day Storm that clobbered the Northwest. Gathering from the
photos in the book, the storm looked like a combination of an A-bomb,
Godzilla, typhoon, and hurricane. Check out the car covered in bricks
in downtown Portland. Bricks fell from a building...from a storm.
Now that's a storm. I'll post more photos later.
