Ugliest. Bridge. Ever.

Brian Libby of the most excellent Portland Architecture has a good piece on the infamous Marquam Bridge. The Portland Tribune reported last week about a local group studying the Marquam and East Bank freeway. Possible future options? A "tunnel and moving the alignment east, away from the river. "

Comments:
I hope that in 30 years we will have the tunnel/realigned I5/High Speed Rail on the eastbank/new freight line not effecting the street grid/beautiful eastbank park and a vibrate east side industrial zone that supports the core and the creative class.
